Case Study: Sentry Protect – Covering All Bases

Meeting Our Customers’ Needs

We were asked by our client to provide a tailored security plan to protect their large vacant site, which was roughly the size of 4 football pitches and contained highly valuable assets. During the previous 2 weeks, thieves had repeatedly entered, stealing over £500K worth of equipment and electrical cabling. They had also managed to shut down the buildings mains power by breaking into the onsite substation, causing electrical malfunctions resulting in further damage.

Providing Real Solutions

As the site had no access to power and needed securing internally, we were unable to use our mains or Solar powered options. After a full site assessment, we advised that priority areas for security were the 18 entrances/exits, the main floor and pay particular focus to valuable machinery onsite, which was worth up to £12M. The best solution was to use our battery-powered Sentry Protect system, as this unit is perfect for covering wide areas for long periods of time through its 360-degree HD detection and 4-year battery life.

This system also provides ultra-fast image transmission speeds from site to operator, ensuring any possible issues can be actioned in real-time. In the event of an intruder on site, this system also features both live and pre-recorded 110db audio voice challenge to further deter would-be trespassers.

On the external perimeter of the site, we included a 5m tall Tetra Solar tower near the main entrance point to cover this access point whilst also acting as a significant deterrent against potential intruders.

Results That Matter

In total, we provided our client with 22 units and 1 Tetra Solar tower to fully maintain the security of the site. Each system is now individually monitored by our Operations team who are based at our highly accredited Alarm Receiving Centre in the UK. If an incident were to occur, our Operators have direct access to local Police control rooms, bypassing 999 services and ensuring direct assistance within seconds.

Since our security systems were implemented, our client has not had any further instances of intrusion or theft on this site, which we have been told is a considerable relief due to the value of the building and assets.

It’s through our years of experience and our highly trained team that we’re able to provide bespoke solutions such as these. We never take a ‘one size fits all’ approach and are proud to be able to support our customers in any situation to resolve their unique security requirements.
